MEMBERS GALLERY
The Gallery contains a selection of paintings by The York Art Society members. Click on a thumbnail to view the gallery image.
The images shown are submitted by the artists. It is anticipated that these images will be changed on a regular basis and it is hoped that we will cover all of our members paintings in due course. We have a great pool of talented work, that has been exhibited over the years and the Society feels it is appropriate that there should be another opportunity for these images to be seen.
As a guide to entering work for presentation on Gallery pages: please read the following points.
1. Submit good quality photographs: digital camera or film. Photographs should be received sealed in plain envelope. The maximum number of photographs at present is three. Photographs may also be sent by email: or on a CD or disc (preferably in 'jpeg' format). Envelopes, CD's or discs may be given to a committee member either at a workshop or demonstration. You must include a (SAE) for their return if required.
2. Each photograph should include the title, the medium used, the size of the painting, the artist's name and the Y.A.S. membership number. This information should be written on the reverse of each photograph or attached therewith.
Note: The photograph, should, preferably be taken before 'glazing' and framing. (Photos of glazed pictures can have 'reflection' problems).
3. Please ensure that an adequate postage tariff is on the return (SAE) envelopes to avoid postage surcharges.
